The Honors Sociology Society-Alpha Delta for 2-Year Colleges

Individual membership in the Honors Sociology Society, the national sociology honor society for two-year colleges, is an honorable achievement. Membership benefits include:

 

  • Membership is for a lifetime. There are no annual dues for members after the initial $35 payment.

 

  • A certificate of membership and a membership card are given to all new members to recognize the honor of being a part of the Honors Sociology Society for two-year colleges. This also shows evidence of membership.

  • 2-Year College Paper Competitions. The Honors Sociology Society for two-year colleges sponsors an annual student paper competition for 2-year college students. Winners receive a cash prize to assist in participating in an annual conference meeting.

    • 2-Year college students have the chance to participate in the Honors Sociology Society Conference.

  • Merchandise. Members may purchase an honor cord to wear at their graduation ceremony, lapel pins, t-shirts, and other Honors Sociology Society paraphernalia. 

 

  • Mentorship Program. This program provides an opportunity to connect and network with other Honors Sociology Society chapters, members, and professionals in the sociology field.

 

  • Voting members may participate in Officer elections.

     

Chapter Membership Benefits

  • Honors Sociology Society chapters are important in the academic, professional, and social lives of student and faculty members. They provide opportunities for initiating and sharing activities in keeping with the purposes of the surrounding communities.

  • Chapter of the Year Award. The Honors Sociology Association annually recognizes and rewards chapter achievement in fulfilling the general purposes of the Honors Sociology Society.


Other Benefits

  • The Honors Sociology Society sponsors a Conference at the annual meeting of the Honors Sociology Society.
